How to Hit a Backhand Dink with Perfect Form
Your EXCLUSIVE week 64 video is here!

👋
Hey Team!
Having a month off from tournaments has been great. It's really given me time to get back in the lab and dial in all of my shots.
I've been working on adding power to my game, specifically on medium height / high balls. Without a tennis background, power is one of my weaknesses. I am working on making power my strength :)
Details at the end of this newsletter tell you how!
Now, let’s get to this week's video:

How to Hit a Backhand Dink with Perfect Form
There are two main mistakes many players make when backhand dinking.
In this video, I show you how to hit a backhand dink with perfect form. . . in Under 60 Seconds.

The trick that I've found out from asking these top PPA players (I'm lucky to train at the same facility as them) when it comes to power is this: What I was doing was only using my wrist on high/medium backhands.
The issue is, your wrist is such a small muscle. To generate power, you must use your entire arm.
I was confused about how to do this until they showed me.
The key is:
Step 1: As the ball is approaching you, set your wrist and paddle angle to where you want the ball to go
Step 2: Load up and use your entire arm to swing (WHILE KEEPING IT LOSE). The amount of power you're able to generate by doing this is unbelievable. I'm going to film a 60-second video on this technique because it was actually mind-blowing.
This is 100% the next part of me leveling up my game.
That is why I love pickleball. You get to dissect yourself and come up with answers to make you the best possible player you can be!

Reviews from You

Floppy wrists are typically bad on ANY shot. You want a stiff wrist and your arm forward out in front of your body!
