3 Mistakes on Your Forehand Drive in Pickleball

Your EXCLUSIVE week 66 video is here!

👋

Hey Everyone!

I'm officially back from my trip to El Salvador - it was a blast, and it's safe to say I'm finally making progress with my surfing, haha!

I have a tournament exactly one week from today. In this newsletter, I'm going to let you in on how I'm going to prepare for the tournament after coming off of 4 days with no practice.

Now, let’s get to this week's video:

3 Mistakes on Your Forehand Drive in Pickleball

There are three mistakes I see regularly that prevent players from having an elite forehand drive.

Find out how to fix those mistakes. . . in Under 60 Seconds.

I find that the best way to get back into the swing of things after taking some time off is this:

I like to do non-competitive drills for the first 2 days.

In other words, my partner and I just hit a lot of balls to get our touch back.

No keeping score in the drills, no trying to "win." Just very basic stuff.

For example, we’ll do:

  • 15 minutes of dinking just straight ahead.

  • 15 minutes of just dinking cross-court.

  • 10 minutes of just hitting third shot drops.

  • 10 minutes of just hitting resets.

For all of these drills, I like to see how many I can get in a row; this helps get the "flow" back.

If you give this a try, you'll often find how easy it is to get back in action after spending two days focusing solely on this.

It's a cheat code, and like you never even took time off!

PS. If you haven’t seen it, I just released a long-form video with top pro (World Ranked #9) James Ignatowich. In it, he teaches aggressive dinking. It’s a REALLY great lesson:
