Always Drive Returns That Have Slice! (Instead of drop)

Your EXCLUSIVE week 47 video is here!

👋

I’m currently at the APP tournament in Cincinnati. Learning some SUPER valuable lessons.

In the pro singles qualifier, I was winning 14-8 in game 3 of the last round to make it to the main draw. I ended up losing 16-14.

The APP is rally scoring, with the rule that when you get to 14, you have a freeze and have to win on your serve.

Really great practice for becoming more and more mentally tough!

Now, let’s get to this week's video:

Always Drive Returns That Have Slice! (Instead of drop)

If you’re getting caught up against someone who likes to slice the return of serve, chances are you’re making the wrong decision.

Never drop a third ball where your opponent adds slice to the return. Instead, drive it.

Find out why–in Under 60 Seconds.

This past week of practice, I’ve been working on adding more of the offensive lob to take my opponents off the kitchen line.

In today’s game, so many players lean in aggressively to the kitchen and look to attack balls out of the air. If you sense your opponent is leaning super far in, throwing in a lob forces them to play more honestly, and opens up the court for you to think more aggressively since they’re forced to play more passively.

Start messing around with this and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about!

Till next week✌️
