How to Play with a Weaker Partner 🏋️♂️🏆
Your EXCLUSIVE week 18 video is here!
Hey Team!
I just touched down in Dallas for the APP this week. I had a fantastic start—qualifying for the singles main draw! At the time you read this, I’ll be playing singles and going on a deep run (hopefully 😂😉).
I’m also really looking forward to men’s doubles with Kyle Koszuta on Saturday.
Now to your Exclusive Video!
How to Play with a Weaker Partner 🏋️♂️🏆
Sometimes, we all get “stuck” with a partner maybe we aren’t TOO thrilled with. It happens at ALL levels!
But there are several things you can do to make the experience better and play good pickleball. This video covers those things!
Disclaimer:
I originally created this video for my YouTube channel. However, I wasn’t entirely happy with how it came out—not so much because of the information, but because it seemed like something was missing and there are parts that are perhaps a bit TOO advanced fr a general audience.
So, I decided it would be best for my most dedicated audience (newsletter subscribers) to see it instead.
Enjoy!
What I’m Working On Right Now
Living with Will Howells down in Florida has been great! 🤩
He’s been helping me locate my weaknesses and turn them into strengths. One thing he pointed out for me that has been a game changer is that I tend to ‘massage’ the ball to my opponents when it is at net height or slightly below.
This means that I try to use FINESSE and set the next shot too much when I should just rip it! 🔪
He recommends that I ‘flick’/attack anything out of the air that I can get firm paddle contact on. This is a great lesson for everyone!
Your opponents will feel more pressure, you’ll win more points, and you will become a bigger threat on the court!
Till next week! ✌️
