How to Stop Popping Up Your Dinks in Pickleball!
Your EXCLUSIVE week 67 video is here!

👋
Hey Everyone!
I competed in the APP Fort Lauderdale tournament this past weekend, and man, it was one of the most fun tournaments I've EVER played.
We had a thriller of a semi-final match in Men's Pro Doubles against my good friend Kyle Koszuta.
We were losing 8-10 in the third game, and we got it back to 11-10-2 with me serving. My partner hit a third shot drive, I poached, and ended up missing what would have been the game-winning shot.
I am having nightmares about it!
Here is the exact clip of me missing that shot in the moment:
After that, we lost to them but took 3rd place in the tournament. Not too shabby, four tournaments and four medals for me! Two golds and two bronze.
It was an absolute nail biter, there were probably 200 spectators, what an amazing stage to play on!
Now, let’s get to this week's video:

Stop Popping Up Your Dinks in Pickleball!
I find that most players pop up dinks for one of these 3 reasons.
Find out if you’re making these mistakes. . . in Under 60 Seconds.

This past APP Tournament taught me a lot.
The clear takeaway for me is focus. Since this tournament was in my backyard (only about a 30-minute drive), there were a ton of my friends/people from my local club cheering me on and came to watch.
I'm so thankful for that!
However…
I definitely found myself losing a tad bit of focus at times, not taking the tournament atmosphere as seriously as I should.
Moving forward, I will bring headphones and get locked in before each match. I even connected with my partner Richard about this and said: From now on, we need to have a little ‘team meeting’ before each match to bring our focus together so we can excel at the task at hand.
So if you say ‘Hi’ and I just wave back, know that I’m locked in and I’ll say it back as soon as I can!
