How to hit top-spin in pickleball

Your EXCLUSIVE week 53 video is here!

👋

What an amazing tournament this past weekend in the Cayman Islands!

We practically played a near-perfect tournament. Unfortunately, our one and only loss was in the finals, and we took home second place.

It was my first time visiting that country, and I’m extremely excited to return someday.

My favorite activity was snorkeling!

Now, let’s get to this week's video:

How to hit top-spin in pickleball

Today, players are taught the importance of adding topspin to their shots.

However, many of them do it incorrectly. Here’s how to add topspin to your game the RIGHT WAY–in Under 60 Seconds.

I've been consciously working on this one thing for the past few weeks, and it has made such an improvement in my game.

Oftentimes, when our partner goes to speed up the ball, we stand there and expect them to finish the point.

What I have been actively doing is this:

When my partner speeds up the ball, I stick my paddle out in front, covering the middle of the court.

It's very important that you extend your arm. This allows you to react subconsciously to balls, as opposed to having to consciously register what is happening and then react.

It's a subtle change that's making a huge difference in my game.
