“You’ve already achieved goals you said would make you happy.”

This is such a powerful quote that I repeat to myself before big matches to help get rid of nerves.

Remember, there is always a “big match” at the next tournament you play. That feeling never goes away, so we all must learn to manage it.

Now, let’s get to this week's video:

The reason pros keep a low ready position 🥇🏆

There is one HUGE advantage to standing in a low-ready position at the kitchen line.

Find out what that is–in Under 60 Seconds.

I’ve been working on analyzing my opponent’s play style and strategy.

Then, I adjust my game plan on the fly, in real time.

Oftentimes, people will come up with a plan and never veer off from it, no matter what.

This is a mistake.

Making small adjustments depending on your opponent’s court positioning / common tendencies is a necessity. This requires a high pickleball IQ.

If you’re not currently doing it, this is a great way to start thinking differently and building up your pickleball IQ.

It’s amazing how many things you begin to notice about tendencies and patterns as soon as you start identifying them during the match.

Most players simply focus on hitting their shot or not making mistakes. Instead, try focusing on your opponent.

Find something - even just one thing - that they’re doing.

I promise you’ll find more than one when you start training your mind this way.
