What I’m Working On Right Now

I’ve been playing around HEAVILY with the off-speed speed-up. 🐢

To execute this shot, you take a big wind-up like you’re going to hit the ball hard. But, instead, you hit it with about 50% power and a ton of spin. The reason this works is because as players anticipate a speed-up, they’ll tighten up a bit for a counterattack.

When they realize you’re actually hitting it soft, they must loosen their grip, or they’ll hit the ball way too hard. This is especially true with these new poppy paddles everyone uses lately. 😜

Your opponent being able to react correctly to this in real-time is very difficult and will almost always catch them off guard. 🫤

THIS is the new way to speed up if you set it up properly.

Give it a try this week, and let me know if it works for you! 🤩

Till next week! ✌️
